BIOSKETCH
Dr. Basil Enicker’s main clinical interests are in the field of Pituitary and Skull Base Surgery, Neuro-Oncology, Cranio-facial surgery, Management of Hydrocephalus, Neuro-trauma and critical care. Dr. Enicker is also particularly interested in minimally invasive surgery of the brain. Dr. Enicker has received further training in endoscopic pituitary surgery from the University Fredrico II, Naples. Dr. Enicker is passionate about teaching and research and has presented his work in both local and international congresses. He has been a recipient of the Bunny Angorn Prize for the Best Clinical Presentation at the Surgical Research Society of Southern Africa (2013). He has been an invited scientific member for local and international meetings. He is a member of the Society of Neurosurgeons of South Africa and is also currently the Secretary of the College of Neurosurgeons of South Africa (CMSA).
Qualifications: MBChB, MMed, FC Neurosurgery SA.
